Cancer Services

There are many types of cancer and their diagnosis and treatment varies. Surgery, chemotherapy and radiation therapy are common treatments. Some patients require only one treatment, such as surgery, while others require combinations of treatments.

Regional Health Authorities

Health Regions provide medical imaging, laboratory testing and cancer surgery services.

   

The Saskatoon and Regina Qu’Appelle Health Regions have full time Surgical Care Co-ordinators to advise and assist patients who are waiting for surgery there. Other regions also have contacts who can provide information and advice to patients.
